In the matter of Unifi AIF, A Category III Alternative Investment Fund
1. Securities and Exchange Board of India (hereinafter referred to as “SEBI”) had passed a Settlement Order bearing reference number SO/BS/DP/2023-24/7057-7064 dated August 01, 2023 on applications filed by Mr. Rajagopalan Santhanam, Mr. M S Sundararajan, M/s Unifi Capital Private Limited, Mr. Sarath Chandra Reddy Kakani, Mr. Sandeep Nadigadda Reddy, Mr. Krishnamurthy Narendranath, Mr. Govindasamy Maran and Mr. Christopher Vinod (hereinafter referred to as “Noticees/applicants/by name”). The said matter was settled for ₹ 38,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Eight Lakh Only) (including the amount for settlement for suo moto application filed by UNIFI AIF).
2. However, subsequently SEBI informed that the settlement terms in the matter have been revised and the settlement amount has been recalculated. The revised settlement terms were approved by the panel of Whole Time Members on October 10, 2023.
Accordingly, vide email dated October 20, 2023, the applicants were advised to remit Rs. 11,40,000 (Rupees Eleven Lakh Forty Thousand only), additionally. Subsequently, the applicants vide email dated November 08, 2023 informed about the remittance of the settlement amount, the receipt of which is confirmed.
3. In view of the aforesaid remittances of Rs. 11,40,000 dated November 08, 2023 and Rs. 38,00,000 dated April 12, 2023, the settlement amount in the matter may be read as Rs. 49,40,000 (Rs. Forty Nine Lakh Forty Thousand only).
4. The Settlement Order dated August 01, 2023 bearing reference number SO/BS/DP/2023-24/7057-7064 shall always be read with this addendum.
